I have a passion to restore and re-use old and discarded furniture that were otherwise heading for the tip and our landfills.
We recycle 95% of the furniture we rescue, putting it back into our community, and all our sales helps us to sustain our
'Vocational Craft Foundation '
Shabby2Chic Furniture Rescue puts the life and soul back into
unwanted, unloved furniture! We 'upcycle' (refurbish and modernise)
unwanted, donated furniture for sale to the general public, in order to
raise revenue to support our other community support activities. We
provide training placements for people in recovery from health problems,
youth offenders and others in order to help increase self confidence,
encourage vocational skills, life skills and creativity. If you are an
support organisation looking for placement opportunities, please call to
arrange a meeting to discuss your needs.
We also 'upcycle' and re-design old furniture for commissions, teach
furniture refurbishment courses, creative paint techniques, wood working
and carpentry skills and more. Through our work we hope to raise
awareness of how important it is to make better use of unwanted
furniture than disposing of it and show how we care about the
environment we live in. If you would like to donate furniture, discuss

Shabby2Chic were delighted to be awarded with Lancashire CRN's
Best
Voluntary Project award at the
RedRose Resource Awards 2011 - and
Director Sandra Johnson was awarded the Red Rose Resource Champion at
the 2012 awards event for her inspirational dedication to training
marginalised individuals through Shabby2Chic's VocationalCourses.
